For the longest time, I had wanted to translate this thread, but I was too lazy because I knew it would need lots of explanatory notes for it to be properly understood by non-Japanese speakers.😱⭐

I re-read the beginning of this thread, and I notice that the way OP says "please call forth" after they finish talking about the preparation sounds weird and creepy. 

Wouldn't you normally just say "call me"? 

Why do they say "call forth" ? 

Moreover, those words "再憎 (Note: Literally, Again-Hatred)" at the end of the mantra are creepy as hell. 

It doesn't sound like a mantra for the repose of souls.

Those are just my humble opinions, even though I have no knowledge of spiritual matters.

Why did the OP write "Otsukare-sama" (Note: in hiragana おつかれさま) without converting it into Kanji (Note: お疲れ様) ? 

(Note: Kanji *2 are Chinese characters used in Japanese. 

  Here, Otsukare-sama written with Kanji (お疲れ様) is made up of three words: お O + 疲れ Tsukare + 様 Sama.

O お is an honorific prefix placed before a word.  Tsukare 疲れ means tired, and Sama 様 is an honorific showing the highest respect to the person you are addressing.

The OP appears to be a formal person who properly converts other words to their Kanji forms, but he somehow leaves that particular word unconverted.

Doesn't the OP actually mean, 

"Otsukare-sama (お憑かれさま) --- YOU ARE POSSESSED" ?

SCARY!!

(Note: 憑かれ (be possessed by a spirit) and 疲れ (be tired) are both pronounced as "Tsukare."

This person is saying that the OP did not convert the word Otsukare-sama to Kanji on purpose, in order to hide the true meaning behind it.)

Well, simply put, the purpose of the ritual is to summon restless spirits wandering around us and seal them into a glass of water. 

The OP made them drink that. 

So, if they are unlucky, they may have absorbed a dangerous spirit into their body with the water.

In short, they are now possessed (otsukare お憑かれ)...

Usually, this type of water has to be first cleansed with ash from burnt talisman, or with a water-soluble oblaat with a spell written on it, to make it drinkable. Otherwise it would be too dangerous to drink it. 

But >>1 purposefully told the others to turn off the lights so that they would summon malevolent spirits.  For this reason, it's quite dangerous.

No person can ever be negatively affected, to a serious degree, by one single picture alone, unless they are spiritually sensitive.

Be careful, everyone (although this warning may have come too late...)
