There was once a man, who had been betrayed by his best friend and lost all his money, and after immersing himself in a self-destructive lifestyle, finally fell ill.
He had not long to live, and was lying in bed, sad and all alone.
One night, suddenly, a fairy appeared in front of him.
“Please tell me your three wishes. They can be anything you want.”
The beautiful, shining fairy said to him, smiling.
The man immediately replied:
“I want friendship, money and health!”
“Friendship, money and health? I see.
I will pass your message on to kami-sama (god).”
“Thank you! Thank you so much! I don’t know how to express my gratitude…”
The man was so grateful that he broke down in tears.
“You’re very welcome,”
The fairy made a polite bow.
“Thank you for answering our questionnaire.”
