“Safety First”

THIS IS A CRYPTIC STORY! 

(Try to guess what’s so scary about it!)

This happened when I was taking photographs in Africa.

I was looking through my telephoto lens into the distance when I noticed about ten local people up in a large tree (not a baobab, just an ordinary tree), all peering down.

Looking below, I saw a lion lounging around looking carefree, and near it lay a hat.

When I looked back up at the tree, I realized that everyone perched there was wearing the exact same kind of hat as the one on the ground.

“Oh, I see — someone dropped their hat, but since there’s a lion down there they can’t go fetch it, haha.”

Chuckling to myself, I took my eye off the camera, and went on to shoot something else.
