The Non-Existent Floor

(Translated from Japanese by Saya)

In Tokyo, a man who had been missing for five years was found, looking exactly the same as he looked on the day of his disappearance.

According to his story, he one day discovered that there was a button for a third floor to an elevator inside a two-storey building, and out of curiosity pressed that button; and before he knew, five years had passed.

It was during those five years that the said two-storey building built a third floor on top of itself.

Poor guy :(
In movies or stories, it always trouble me whenever a character is lost in a time warp. One of my most favorite animated film ever is Spirited Away.
Whenever I watched the movie, at the end of it I always wonder whether the Dad lost his job, whether any of their properties got possessed by a bank, if a loved one is gone, whether they're found and then captured for experiments by the "government", etc. etc.

At least the man in the story did not lose his 5 age years.
Maybe one day, a person will find that the button for the 3rd floor in a lift inside the building is missing. And when that person pressed on any of the buttons for the first or second floor, he will find himself back in a time when the building only has 2 stories.

Cool story. Thank you, Saya-san :D

@Nunu I watched Spirited Away once or twice, but never thought about what would happen afterwards! But it's scary if you think about it. XD

If I saw a weird button like that I would never press it! XD

Thank you, dear for your comment! <3 <3

Ah, well, looks like someone left their Hyperbolic Time Chamber lying around xD
@Sir Calvin Taylor OK, so I might take back my words to Nunu above and I will press the elevator button to disappear for five years and come back a Super Saiyan! XD

This kind of story is basically everywhere around the globe. A person who once disappeared, reappeared far later. In my country (Indonesia) there's this story when this guy was trying to get back home by riding the train, and when he reached the train station, he went inside and found himself in a place that seemed similar. Then within that strange place / world, there is an old man waiting for the train, and the old man asked the guy where he's from, so the guy answered. But then the old man responded that there's no such place with the name the guy had said, so the old man asked him to go back from where he entered. So he exited the station...only to realized several years had passed
