By the way, Ishida passed away at the age of 31 in a train accident.
Some people think it may have been a suicide.

Alright! I have run out of pictures, so I end it here.
The collected works of Tetsuya Ishida is available in books, so you should look it up if you are interested.
117:
Good job!
I’m not surprised if he committed suicide, if he kept on painting such things.
119:
It was very enjoyable.
But I wonder why I feel so depressed?
111:
He was active during the Employment Ice Age, the so called Lost Generation.
You might have heard of Lost Generation Strikes Back which is the book Hanzawa is based on.
25(OP):
This is the artist Tetsuya Ishida himself

WTF the men in the paintings are all him LOL
112 (OP):
Tetsuya Ishida
Born June 16, 1973
Died May 23, 2005 (age 31)
Graduated from Musashino Art University in 1996
He wanted to go to a high school which specialised in art, but his parents were strongly opposed to it and he was forced to go to an ordinary high school instead.
He was said to have suffered from much emotional pain from this.
Among his friends at university was Isamu Hirabayashi, the film directer, with whom he once worked on some projects together.
While seeking employment, he took a job interview at one design company, but he was rejected, leading him to embark on his career as an artist.
113(OP):
His subject matters often involve young men fusing with everyday objects such as plastic bags and toilets.
The young men he depicted all look alike, and they resemble the artist himself, but he denied that it was him in the paintings.
He died after he was struck by a passing train at a level crossing, in May 2005.
114 (OP):
After his death, in 2006, one of his paintings “Untitled “ was auctioned off as at Christie's Hong Kong "Asian Contemporary Art,” and sold at 780,000 HK dollars ( about 12 million yen) .
In 2009, Purple Japanese Medal of Honor was awarded posthumously to Ishida's parents.
115(OP):
All the information has been taken from Wikipedia.
120:
It feels so weird how all these paintings are obviously self-portraits yet he denies it.
116:
This really got me interested in his paintings.
But I would never dream of buying a book of his collected works.
118:
A vision without dream or hope
37:
Now I feel anxious

I think he shouldn’t have died so early! It’s a real shame that he didn’t live to see this changing society!
Oh🥺 I’m sorry but I will come back with amazing stories! I will start translating while I’m on the break so I can come back with good quality stories!
Thank you so much for your comment 💖
Oh! I think this artist was making those artworks on behalf of everyone who is fed up with their jobs!🤣⭐️
Everyone deserves to have a job that they happy with!
Exactly! I wish he didn’t die early like that! 😭 He had so much to offer for the world!
Thank you so much for your comment 😊🌸
All thoughts I had about it being the character's typical Monday morning went down that drain.
Keep that entertaining darkness unsheathed Saya :)
Love the site since always.
たしかにorzの形!
Creepy and scary indeed!
I hope one day we can live in a society where everyone looks forward to Mondays! 😱⭐️
I Will Be Back!!! With amazing dark stories ~ 😊❤️
Thank you so much for being a fan of my blog!!!⭐️
i think my favorite is the one with the tracksuit pants boy and the radiator man. it looks like a couple family members taking a nap, but also its a radiator drying off and warming up damp clothes. its a sweet kind of parallel! hanging out with family gives warmth; a radiator loves the clothes it warms.
it's strange to think im older than this man when he died. those kinds of accidents are always really tragic. thank you for sharing saya!
It is a sort of heartwarming picture! Not harrowing like the rest🥲
You’re welcome and thank you for all your comments!😆🌸
