2 chan Thread (2013)

NOTE: The question that the OP posts here originally comes from a question-and-answer site Yahoo Chiebukuro (Yahoo! Answers Japan).

1: (OP)

“J( ’ー`)し (Note: ASCII art of a mom)“My large dog has passed away. Cremation feels too sad, so I thought of dissolving it and scattering it in the garden.

I heard potassium hydroxide is best for dissolving, but how can I obtain it?

Also, I plan to make the solution in the bathtub but will the tub itself dissolve?
If it might, please tell me what container would be suitable instead.

How much potassium hydroxide would I need?
The dog is large, about 50kg.

It died suddenly, so I wasn’t prepared, and I want to take care of the body before it starts to smell.
I’d appreciate any advice.”

J( ’ー`)し “Phew…”

2:
Oh… (understanding dawning)

3:
This is not good.

5:
Large dog (not necessarily a dog)

6:
Definitely bad news.

8:
The good old Yahoo! Chiebukuro.

10:
This ain’t right.

14:
Why not just ask the local government office…?

17:
“Cremation is too sad so I’d like to dissolve it” — what kind of logic is that?

18:
Dog (human).

20:
 >>18
I’d say very likely

21: (OP)

“J( ’ー`)し “Thank you for all the responses.

I got the idea from online where I found there are some funeral services which dissolve remains using potassium hydroxide, leaving only fragile bones, crush them, return them to the family, and pour the liquid in the garden.

I’m dealing with a dog, but I don’t want to make anyone sad, so I’d like to take care of it secretly before my wife’s relatives find out. I want to make it look like it went missing.

Burning it in the yard would cause smell complaints, and I can’t ask a cremation service for personal reasons.
So I want to completely dispose of the remains without leaving any trace.

The weather’s getting warmer, and I think it’s starting to smell.

If potassium hydroxide won’t work, please tell me another way to completely dispose of a body privately (bones, kami (hair), everything) to make it appear it had gone missing.”

55:
>>21
“KAMI (Hair)…!?”

(Note: the word “髪 (kami)” is only used to describe human hair. )

83:
 >>21
That last part totally gave it away.

23:
Stop going down the horror route.

24:
This is seriously suspicious.

25:
“Cremation is too sad so I’d like to dissolve it” ← WHAT?????? LMFAO

34:
>>25
I suppose it’s like “I’d rather love than be loved” type of logic (confused).

29:
Why do they want to make it look like the dog went missing…?

36:
Very creepy.

37:
Wait, did this really happen?

42:
 >>37
Yep.

44:
>>37
It really did, it was kind of a hot topic.

[News Report: Tokyo] Body May Have Been Dissolved with Chemicals and Flushed Into the Sewer – Hachioji Host Club Owner Abandonment Case ★2

In the case involving the damage and abandonment of the body of a host club owner who went missing in Hachioji, Tokyo, it has come to light that his remains were likely dissolved using chemicals and then disposed of through the sewer system.

On the 18th, five people — including Eiichiro Genchi, the co-owner of the host club, and former employee Takuya Abe — were arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of damaging and abandoning the body of Masamichi Tsuchida, a 43-year-old host club owner who had been missing since November 2010.

Interviews with investigators revealed that around the time Tsuchida disappeared, Genchi had asked an acquaintance to purchase a large quantity of chemicals capable of dissolving objects.

At the home of Abe’s father, fragments of facial bone and Tsuchida’s dental implants were discovered in the wastewater tank. The Metropolitan Police believe there is a strong possibility that Tsuchida’s body was dissolved with chemicals and flushed into the sewage system, and they continue to investigate.

49:
>>39
Gotta put that one down.

43:
Is potassium hydroxide even strong enough to dissolve a dog?

52:
>>43
There was an actual case where someone used KOH to dissolve a body in a bathtub and flushed it down the drain…

54:
My large dog died and I’m sad ← understandable.
I wouldn’t like cremation so I prefer to dissolve it  ← what the hell!?
Weighs 50kg ← Oh…(understanding dawning)
Bones and kami (hair) ← yep, they did it.

Love this reply from one serious guy on Yahoo Answers:

“Why do you need to be so secretive?
Death comes to all living things. Are you so emotionally immature you can’t accept that?
To me it sounds like you’re hiding something inconvenient to you.”

66:
Didn’t this become an issue? You’d think the police would check it out.

71:
>>66
It was a troll.

73:
 >>71
Oh, it was fake? Thank goodness.

82:
 >>73
Let’s hope it was :)

76:
(´・ω・`) What is this thread? Creepy.

87:
If it were trolling, you’d expect them to make a new account.
But that account had years of normal posts — seems strange for a troll.

J( 'ー`)し (Mom): “Right? It’s a special bath salt — makes your skin smooth.”

彡(^)(^): “Thanks, Mom! My skin really is smooth!”
J( 'ー`)し: “Relax and soak. It’ll warm you up.”

彡(^)(^): “By the way, what’s it called?”
J( 'ー`)し: “NaOH.”
(Note: Sodium Hydroxide)
