(Translated and arranged by Saya)

I got a call from an unknown number.
A middle aged woman's voice asked, "Mr.Suzuki (psuedonym)?"
But I am Tanaka (psuedonym).

So I replied, "No, you have the wrong number."
"Then, who are you?"She asked.

Her response both surprised and annoyed me.
"Why would I answer that? Don't you think it's rude to ask me that?"
When I said that, she just hung up.

That was weird! I thought.
Then a few days later, I got another call from an unknown number (I think it could have been the same number as the last time).
When I answered it, the same middle aged woman's voice asked,
"Mr. Suzuki?"
I said, "You called a wrong number," and hung up. I then blocked the number on the phone.

About a week later, I got a call from a different unknown number. Weird things keep happening to me lately! I thought to myself, and answered the phone, but without saying a word. It was that woman's voice.

"Mr.Suzuki? You must be Mr.Suzuki, right?" She sounded strangely excited.
It was getting too creepy, and I hung up without a word.

This time though, she called me immediately again.
I was caught off guard, but  soon my surprise was replaced by exasperation.
I answered the call so that I could tell her to stop it, once and for all.

"Oh, Mr.Suzuki? You are Mr.Suzuki, aren't you?"
Her voice sounded strangely excited again.

"Look at the number before you make a call! How many times do I have to tell you I am not Suzuki!?" I snapped at her.

That was when her voice suddenly became really low like a man's voice.
"Yeah, I know. Because you are Tanaka."
She said, and hung up.

That was the creepiest thing that ever happened to me. For some time after that, I got freaked out every time I received a call from someone.

  1. I think this one scares me so much because of how easy it is to be true. ( ⁰Π΄⁰)

  4. My goodness. A stalker. Having someone follow you like predator to a prey must trigger some very primal fear. Maybe thats why goosebumps exist to signal the threat. Idk im not a scientist soo....

  6. What if the person of the post has another spirit/soul inside him called ''Suzuki''? The caller was looking for Suzuki, but Tanaka had taken over, so she kept trying at different times. She realised it after hearing the way he talked, got mad and hanged up. Maybe the caller has a spirit inside her too, seeing as her voice changed in the end.

  7. This sounds like the prank call from hell. I suppose the hellspawn must be a little too bored.

  9. When I got my first cellphone I used to receive callings that where just breathing and before the person on the otherside turn off, I still don't have any idea what that was about.

  10. Scary! This is why I don't answer numbers unless I know them!

This reminds me of a j-horror movie I saw, but I forgot the name. I think it was an anthology film? There is a man that gets calls from ghosts and they give him messages to tell to their loved ones. He runs into an old coworker of his whose wife had died, and then the man's phone rings. It turns out that the man's coworker had killed his wife.

I can't explain things well and the movie is actually way more interesting! Sorry for spoilers, I guess? lol

  11. As someone who spends most of his day on the phone, having this happening to me, would just add to my phone anxiety.

  14. Omg! That creeps me out, this is why I always get anxious when I see a number I don't recognize call me, because if it's important they can leave a message!

I never pick up a call from an unknown number either πŸ˜†⭐It could be a call from a swindler!

  15. Not actually calls but got text from unknown numbers. Suddenly remembered that my provider often recycles their number if no longer in use. Good thing I never received any of those again.

  16. I also used to get strange calls on a number that I previously had. The caller sounded like an elderly woman, and she would call and then quickly hang up and leave a short voicemail about 5 seconds long. But she would do this several times in a row, so I might pick up my phone and see I had 4 missed calls and just as many voicemails. Eventually I had collected dozens of voicemails from this person.

I never really got a clear idea of what she was saying, because her voice was always so distorted (she sounded like she was missing many teeth??). The last message she left me was the longest, and it sounded like she was talking about some money that someone owed her.

Once I even answered her call, to kindly tell her that she had the wrong number. But she just paused, sounded confused, and kept babbling. After that I blocked her. I felt kinda bad, but it was really weird.

Anyway, happy to see some new stories on here! (from a longtime silent reader)✨
