⭐️THIS IS A CRYPTIC STORY!!!!!!!!ππ
Most people must have wished death on someone they didn’t like at some point in their lives.
But what if the wish came true…?
Once, when I was in kindergarten, a boy whom I had a fight with died the next day, but I thought it was just a coincidence.
When I was in elementary school, there was an abusive sensei (Note: a teacher) who would often hit me for no reason.
“I wish he was dead,” I thought, and the very next day, the sensei died.
I became convinced of my special ability while in junior high school, when everyone in one group of boys that was bullying me died.
I have an ability to kill anyone I wish dead.
I was scared of myself. I couldn’t tell anyone about it.
I made a vow then that I would always remain calm and never get angry with anyone again.
However, soon after entering high school, a few more people died around me —
A delinquent boy who mocked me,
And a girl who wasn’t very nice to me.
I was shocked to learn that I didn’t need to strongly intend for someone to die in order for it to become true.
After going through much agony, I decided to share my secret with my mother.
She was astonished, and didn’t believe me at first.
But she had always felt that there were too many instances of deaths around me.
Soon my father came home from work, and the three of us had a long talk.
Both my parents said to me:
“It’s hard to imagine what you have been through. Parents are responsible for the sins their children commit. You are not to be blamed.”
I was so glad that I had finally gotten it off my chest.
My heart was filled with gratitude for my parents.
That night, I slept like a log, feeling deeply at peace with myself.
The next morning — my parents were both dead.

Please don’t be shy and share your theories with us!
I’ll be looking forward to reading them!
Thank you so much always for visiting my blog!
Much love ❤️
It very much sounds like itπ€£
Thank you so much for your comment!
I’m glad you’re happy!ππ
You’re welcome and thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment!✨
Now then, maybe the child actually resents their parents a bit? He (it's a he, right?) went through a lot-- abusive teacher, a group of bullies, etc. And yet his parents, rather than comforting him, instead thought of him like some kind of failure, problem child, shown by what they said at the end. That's the kind of thing you usually would say when your child has made some kind of mess, after all.
On anothet note... never let this person drive on the road in the future! It's easy to get mad on the road, after all XD
just a moment of lightbulb π‘π
The power is to kill anyone he has in mind when he goes to sleep, that's why everyone dies "the next day"
i think that the parents killed anyone who harassed the child, and after they found out that their actions distressed him, they killed themselves.
My pleasure! I’m glad you like cryptic stories!ππ
Yes, it’s a boy, and I forgot to mention the gender! In the original text, it is obvious what gender the narrator is, because of the pronoun he uses. Sorry!
Thank you so much for sharing your theory! That would make sense also!
He should definitely not drive on the road — and perhaps not for the reason you think ~ π
You can post as many comments as you like (as long as it’s not like a million comments in a rowπ€£)!
I didn’t know that the Simpsons did a parody on Death Note! I just saw a snippet of it on Instagram π€£
That’s so crazy!
That’s also a possible answer ~ ✨Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!
You just said something important there…π±
Accidentally dropping a hint!!!
But your theory is interesting!! Thank you for sharing it!❤️
That’s possible and it would be scary if they were the ones who killed all those people π±
A very good guess! Thank you so much for that!ππ
And also, thank you so much for your kind encouragement ~ ✨
Alternatively, the parents dying could be a suicide with a religious cause. They said "parents are responsible for the sins their children commit". The use of "sins" concerns me, and makes me think the parents ended their lives to somehow free their child from his sins, thus taking responsibility. Doesn't explain other deaths, though.
Lastly, the storyteller could be haunted by a supernatural entity which protects him by killing everyone who it perceives as hurting him. It felt that the storyteller is threatened because he told someone that those deaths are connected to him, and so it killed the parents to eliminate them as witnesses.
Oh, please pardon meπ ππ»
The important hint that Tunana dropped was about how his power might not be what he (or we) first assumed.
I didn’t want to say specifically what it was to allow people the freedom to think freely!
I think your theories are all very imaginative and very interesting!
I don’t think I could have come up with them!
Thank you so much for sharing themπππ»π©·
Very possible!!!
You’re welcome and thank you so much for sharing your theory! I had never thought of that!π
Here’s
⭐️THE ANSWER:

Those people did not die because the boy wished them dead. It was the other way around.
It was always “those who wished the boy dead” that died.
His parents, upon hearing the boy’s confession, became afraid of the boy and secretly wished him dead. So that’s why they died too.

I hope it’s now clear! π✨
Thank you, Roberta, for your brilliant guess!
I think you are the one who came closest to the answer!! ππ©·
Well done ~ πππ✨
My thought/theory was based on this part at the end:
Both my parents said to me:
“It’s hard to imagine what you have been through. Parents are responsible for the sins their children commit. You are not to be blamed.”
I was so glad that I had finally gotten it off my chest.
My heart was filled with gratitude for my parents.
That night, I slept like a log, feeling deeply at peace with myself.
And this:
I was shocked to learn that I didn’t need to strongly intend for someone to die in order for it to become true.
To me when he heard what his parents said and was able to sleep peacefully, it was because he had understood their words as saying all the deaths were completely his parents' fault and therefore in a way they deserved to be punished and die.
He didn't necessarily intend for them to die directly or feel any sort of anger or resentment towards them, his subconscious mind just thought of that casually and hence they died.
Does this make sense? π
Cool! Yes, that makes sense! ππ
That’s a very plausible answer too!
As I explained somewhere before, my “answer” isn’t the only answer!π
Based on the answer I have given here, I think the parents at the end were trying to avoid getting killed by being kind to the boy! I realised this while I was translating π€£
But as I said, your theory is valid too!✨
Thank you so much for sharing your theory!
They usually don’t provide the answers, and the so-called correct answers are the ones which are only thought to be correct by common consent. π
That’s why I am always tentative about judging others’ theories as right or wrong.
My guess is that the narrator's power isn't "killing people with his mind", but that "people who hurts them or tries to do harm to them dies".
Everyone who died had hurt them in some way - a fight, hitting, bullying, and even insults.
So it could be that their parents, despite reassuring them, tried to harm them while they were asleep, and that's why they died the next day.
You’re welcome! π I’m glad you like these cryptic stories!
I also like them because they make you think and stimulate your imagination ✨
That would make sense too! A very interesting theory! Thank you so much for sharing it! π©·

Great ~ ππ»ππ»ππ»✨
I would give you full marks π
It’s sad how his parents thought of him at the end π
