*This is a cryptic story!
My granny died and all our relatives got together at her country home.
There was a kid who was too little to understand about death. He kept running around the house, and one time I found him standing idly by the well in the garden and had to get him to come back inside.
The kid kept staring at the picture of the dead granny with a wondering face.
"Why have they put up such a big picture of granny?"
A typical childish question, but a very sad one.
"Granny has gone to heaven, dear," someone answered him.
Did he really understand what it meant?
"Is heaven inside the well?"
*sigh* ...You see, this is why I hate kids. They are all stupid.

Decided to check tonight to see if you posted, and wow! I've got some stuff to catch up on now~ I usually come back every once in a while and re-read the entire blog if I'm in a spoopy mood, so seeing this new content was a huge treat!
I'm super glad you are back, Saya! Thanks for all the work you put in to translate these!
At first I thought the narrator killed Granny and hide her body in the well. But then, the family knew Granny is dead. Wouldn't a missing body a cause for alarm? Unless the whole family is in on it. But what would be the purpose of that?
Or, maybe Granny is not dead. They just hide Granny inside the well (I'm assuming it's a dry well). Pretend to public Granny is dead so they can squander Granny's wealth, or any other reason.
Or, the narrator killed Granny by causing her to drown in the well. And the kid saw Granny's ghost.
I like to think that Granny is not really dead. But it's probably Granny's ghost that the kid saw.
Always love your cryptic stories, Saya-san. :D
Thank you.
