THIS IS A CRYPTIC STORY!!!
(Can you guess what happened?😱)

This is a story from when I used to work as a delivery driver for a shipping company.
As usual, I was out making deliveries during the day.

One day, I had to go to an old, deserted multi-tenant building tucked away in an alley behind a bustling downtown area. Judging by its appearance, it must have been several decades old.

It was the middle of summer, and I had to go up to one of the higher floors, so I gave in to laziness and decided to take the elevator.
As soon as I pressed the button, the door opened immediately.

Then suddenly, a woman burst out of the elevator, screaming “Aaaahhh!!” with a twisted expression on her face.
Startled, I instinctively stepped back.

She ran off into the shopping district and vanished.

What was that…? Did some yakuza do something awful to her? Was she high on drugs?
In a building this damp and creepy, who knows what kind of stuff might be going on inside…

I cautiously peeked into the elevator, but there was nothing unusual inside.

There were no signs of anyone coming down the stairs either.

Creepy. I’d better just drop off the package and get out of here.

Thinking that, I stepped into the elevator.
The package was for the 8th floor.

…..Weird.

There is only one button.

The woman was probably trapped inside the elevator until someone pressed the button on the first floor
